I need to run the “chkdsk” command and can’t find the DOS prompt. What are my options?

try windows key and r, to load run and cmd or command, i am not fimilar with vista, but this is the way i do it in xp, there should run, if theres not that searchg thing on the top of the serch menu try typing cmd or command in there

Right-click on the Start Button, Properties, Start Menu and Customize. Scroll down until you see Run Command and tick the box (to add it to the Start Menu).
